Stay tuned for Blog Hop #2 !!

Stay tuned for my 2nd Blog hop this
Saturday May 2nd !!!!

Now back to working on my 3rd Blog Hop!

I have blog fever now!

Apr 27, 2015

What a weekend!!  My first hop as they say is in the can and now I am looking forward to Blooming Flowers !!!!

Apparently I have caught the "Blog Fever" as I have signed up for 2 more and am on a waiting list for the 3rd!

I enjoy a challenge and it is nice to get out of my comfort zone.

My latest project is subway art .. or signs ... And since I live in suburbia having solicitors knocking on your door is a daily thing.  I don't like answering the
door to strangers so I decided to put up my own version of the "No Soliciting"

Weeding was a royal pain!!! Tomorrow I will spray paint the white part black and then pull off the background vinyl.

Stay tuned !!!

C.A.S.E. Blog Hop

Remember the old kids game, Telephone? You know the one where a secret is told to the first person in line and then they tell what they think they heard to the next person and they tell the next person and so on and so on.  At the end of the line, the person says what they heard and the first person tells what they originally said and laughter erupts because the two things are nothing alike.

Well today's hop plays that game, but with card making instead of secrets.

This hop is un-like any you've probably ever been too.

We took one card created by Theresa from ScrapsByGracie and sent it to the next blogger who then C.A.S.E.d the card (copy and steal everything) and sent her card on to the next blogger who C.A.S.E.d it and sent her card to the next blogger.  You get the idea.

When you are done hopping you'll see how different or maybe how similar the last card is to the first.

So let's get hopping.
You should have arrived here from Sandy Bell Hentzel's blog. If you would like to start at the beginning of the hop click on the blog logo above to be taken to Theresa's blog.

This is my very FIRST blog hop!!! I am so excited!!!
Everyone else is a pro at this so I worried that I wouldn't measure up when it came to creativity. Theresa assures me that I did just fine for my first hop. I sure hope everyone enjoys my card.

This photo is Sandy Bell Hentzel's card, and my inspiration.
No matter how hard I tried I juts couldn't get my embossed paper to look as nice as Sandy did, and there was NO way I would be able to stamp anything that nice (I have a love hate relationship with stamps) so I CASE'd the border and went with bumble bees instead of butterflies and used a pen on the embossing for color. After that it was Cricut all the way.
I love this little gate and decided to make it a peek a boo front.

Open the gate and find the sentiment !

And because I wanted a little fun I put a big bee on
an action wobble! First time I ever used those too!
The bees on the front and inside of the card were created using
Cricut Explore's new "Print to Cut" feature.
This card went in the mail today to my
sweet brother in law who is fighting a battle with cancer.
So please pray for him!

I appreciate you taking time to stop by!!

Don't forget to follow and comment on each of the blogs to be entered into the prize drawing.  Theresa is giving away a great goodie box filled with craft making supplies.  Winner will be posted on Theresa's blog on Wednesday and the winner will have 7 days to claim their prize.

My First Blog Hop !!

Well I have spent almost the ENTIRE day working on my very first card for
the C.A.S.E. Blog Hop.  (Copy And Steal Everything)

In this type of hop the first person creates a card, passes it on to the next and they copy/steal ideas from it and then add their own twist... then pass it to the next person in the blog.  Sort of like Telephone Game for card making.

Having never done this before I wasn't sure what I would be doing and knew that so many in the group are far more talented than I am.  So I fretted over paper, colors, styles... using gelatos , not using gelatos, )techniques I have never tried before) ... in the end I tried a few new things and finally got to use an action wobble!! These are seriously my new favorite thing!  How did I scrap without them???!!!

So stop back on April 25th for the Reveal Party!!!

Greetings and Happy Wednesday!!!

Just wanted to share a card I made for the nurses when my auntie was in the hospital.  They took such good care of her and I thought I would make something they could sit out on the desk.

This is a box card and I used a wonderful cut file from Narelle  aka The Non Crafty Crafter.

I love her box card because the interior goes from top to bottom giving the card more stability and making it easier to attach items.  AND you can cut it all out on the Cricut complete with score lines!  I also love the box card because its like a party in an envelope when someone opens it.

The embellishments on the box came from Dr Checkup Cartridge and svg files from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  Check out their web page for some very darling SVG files.  Remember it doesn't take much to say "Thank You" and put a smile on someones face.

Time Flies when your having fun!

Oh My time how time flies when we get caught up in life!

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter !!!

Sadly I spent it in bed with a head cold but when the meds kicked in I did a little crafting! I finally tried out the wonderful 3D bird houses from SVG Cuts. They are so darn cute!!!  Then I moved on to my sweet Easter Egg.  I was really surprised at how easy they were to put together.  SVG Cuts have great video tutorials for all their cut files so you always have something to help when it comes to creating your project.

You can find the bird houses here  SVG Cuts Bird Houses

This is my cute little Easter Egg house which can be found here Easter Egg House

Wishing you all a fantastic week and praying for warmer weather here in the cold North East part of the country!
