HE IS RISEN! 


Easter has always been one of my favorite 

 holidays, it was a time for a fresh start, 

 forgiveness and a reminder of the greatest gift 

 ever given. 

 The gift of Eternal Life through Jesus God's Son.

It also meant getting a new dress, shoes, gloves and hat. 

What can I say, mama was old school. :) 

Later it held another joyous experience. 

My second son was born on Easter Sunday. 

For years, the oldest would tell everyone the 

Easter Bunny brought his brother! 

I hope you enjoy my cards, this one on my blog and 

the other on the CADC Blog.  

Most of all have a Blessed Easter!

For this card, I used my Cricut (aka - my 4th child) 

I used the same cross as my CADC card but cut off all the 

Dirt and added a wreath of flowers instead of the crown of 

thorns.  Sadly I had it all put together and realized 

I forgot to emboss the background paper!  UGH!  

Oh well !!

    This card is exquisite! I love everything about it. And I love that you shared your personal story. Easter always meant a new outfit when I was growing up as well...from the undies out to the hat, gloves, shoes and pocketbook! I loved it. The Easter bunny never brought us babies, though, we only got chocolate. It was lots of fun hopping with you, as always!

    I think it turned out beautiful! And I remember the new hat, shoes, gloves and pocketbook and the (not)fun of dressing like my sisters in our new dresses lol!

    The cross is beautiful. How special to have a baby on Easter. We not only had new outfits, but my mother usually made matching dresses for herself and for me. A couple of years she made matching capes too.
